DU tops QS World University Rankings 2025

New Delhi: DU has topped the central universities of India in the QS World University Rankings 2025. Along with this, DU has reached the seventh position this time as compared to the ninth position last year in the list of other institutions across the country.

According to DU Vice Chancellor Prof Yogesh Singh, DU has improved the maximum by 79 ranks among the top ten institutions of India. The Vice Chancellor has given the credit of this achievement to the entire Delhi University family. The Vice Chancellor said that DU is continuously moving forward due to the important contribution of the faculty members and students of the university in the academic environment and nation building.

The Vice Chancellor said that DU has secured 328th position globally in the QS World University Rankings 2025, whereas last year the position in the ranking was 407th. This time Delhi University has made its place in the top 22 percent in the QS World University Rankings.

The Vice Chancellor said that Delhi University has been included among 270 institutions in four out of nine indicators at the global level. Among these, it has been ranked 44th in employment outcomes, 220th in sustainability, 225th in academic reputation and 269th in employer reputation. Prof. Yogesh Singh said that this time Delhi University has improved in five out of nine performance indicators as compared to last year.

QS World Ranking 2025 has been released. It is a matter of pride for Indians that Indian universities have also made it to this list. According to the ranking list, IIT Bombay and IIT Delhi are included from India in the top-150 universities of the world. IIT Bombay has performed better than last year and has secured 118th position. Similarly, IIT Delhi has also reached 150th position this year.

IISc has secured 211th position. IIT Kharagpur is ranked 222nd, IIT Madras is ranked 227th and IIT Kanpur has secured 263rd position. Delhi University has also been included in this list. Delhi University has secured 328th rank, followed by IIT Roorkee at 335th, IIT Guwahati at 344th and Anna University at 383rd rank. Apart from these, IIT Indore has secured 477th rank, IIT BHU at 531st and JNU at 580th rank.
